The Multi Day & Night® Mama Capsules have the same composition as the trusted Multi Day & Night® Mama Tablets. The only difference is how you take them: for the Day variant, you take 2 capsules instead of 1 tablet. This is because the full daily dosage won’t fit into a single capsule without it becoming too large. By splitting the dosage across two capsules, the size stays smaller and they remain easy to swallow.
Important nutrients during pregnancy
During pregnancy, your nutritional needs change. Your body needs more of certain vitamins and minerals to properly support both you and your baby. By choosing a varied diet with unprocessed, nutritious foods, you give yourself a strong foundation. Think vegetables, fruit, fish, meat, pulses, dairy, nuts, seeds and wholegrains. There are a number of nutrients that are especially important during pregnancy:
Folic acid: occurs naturally in green leafy vegetables such as spinach, broad beans and kale. Wholegrain products, dairy and meat also contribute.
Omega 3 (DHA): an important fatty acid that contributes to the development of your baby’s brain and eyes. The dietary advice is to eat oily fish twice a week, such as salmon, trout or tilapia.
