Magnesium form with high absorption
Magnesium chelates such as taurate, bisglycinate and malate are organic forms of magnesium that the body absorbs best. And that is essential. The magnesium we find in our daily diet mainly consists of inorganically bound magnesium. These are forms with low bioavailability, meaning the body is unable to absorb the mineral properly.

Magnesium forms with low bioavailability are less stable in the stomach and intestines, making them far less effective compared with chelated forms. An amino-acid-chelated form, such as magnesium malate, is resistant to stomach acid thanks to the bond between magnesium and the amino acid, so it does not break down.

Magnesium bound to malic acid
The bond between magnesium and malic acid is what we call magnesium malate. Malic acid plays a central role in the so-called citric acid cycle, an essential metabolic process responsible for a large part of the energy the body produces in cells (ATP).

Vitamin B6 in the safest and most bioavailable form: pyridoxal-5-phosphate
Adding vitamin B6 to magnesium improves the mineral’s absorption. In addition, vitamin B6 has several scientifically substantiated health-promoting properties. By choosing pyridoxal-5-phosphate (the biologically active, co-enzymatic form of vitamin B6), we achieve higher bioavailability, which is also safer than other forms of B6.
