Natural calcium from red algae (Aquamin TG®)
In calcium tablets, calcium carbonate is a common form. This is an inexpensive source of calcium that the body poorly absorbs. We believe it's important that calcium reaches the places where it is needed. Our Calcium 400 & D3 is therefore based on Aquamin®. This is an ingredient (allergen and GMO-free) from a well-established developer of 24 years, named Marigot Ltd, where algae is sourced in an exclusively sustainable manner.

They do this using GPS technology, which shows which part can be harvested. This allows living red algae to be spared and continue absorbing minerals. This organisation substantiates the efficacy of nutrients through science and develops exclusively in a sustainable way.

Exclusively sustainably sourced
Aquamin® is made from natural, mineral-rich, and calcareous seaweed (Lithothamnion sp.). This type of algae is found on the seabed of the North Atlantic Ocean, where the waters are mineral-rich, crystal clear, and free from pollution. Aquamin® contains not only highly absorbable calcium but also magnesium and other essential trace minerals.

Combination with D3 for better absorption
Vitamin D3 ensures optimal functioning of calcium. This sunshine vitamin is absorbed in small amounts through food, but is mostly produced by the body via the skin.

Calcium and vitamin D for all ages
The recommended daily allowance (RDA) varies for children by age, and for adults by age and gender. While older adults need extra calcium, children do as well.

Health Council advises 10 mcg of vitamin D for children
Children aged 4 to 8 years have a calcium requirement of about 700 mg per day. Boys from the age of 9 already exceed this with 1200 mg, while girls aged 9 are 100 mg below this with 1100 mg per day. Additionally, the Health Council states that children benefit from a daily intake of 10 mcg of vitamin D from birth.

Our calcium tablets are suitable for children from 4 years old to seniors. While adults can usually chew the whole tablet easily, it can sometimes be too large for a child. With the break lines, the round tablet can be easily broken into four pieces, allowing young children to use Calcium 400 excellently. Thanks to the natural orange flavour, the calcium tablet is also a treat for the taste buds.
