Buffered vitamin C, on the other hand, loses its acidic form through binding (buffering) to calcium and magnesium, creating ascorbate instead of ascorbic acid. We need far less of this to optimise vitamin C absorption and support overall health.

I would like to know, as I have been prescribed this by an acupuncturist along with the qurecentine... I see that this is not allowed... is that correct? I'd love to hear from you.

Does this supplement contain easily absorbed forms of Vitamin C (non-acidic ester-C?) and Zinc? Especially with Zinc, you find conflicting information online about the most absorbable form (Picolinate/Methionine). To what extent is Zinc Citrate well absorbed? And is this different for someone with gastritis? The combination of Vitamin C, Zinc (+copper), and Quercetin appeals to me because you take and purchase fewer supplements in terms of quantity, but are you still getting good quality (in terms of absorbability)? And is this different for someone with gastritis? Or is it better to purchase all of these separately, and if so, why and which do you recommend? Can you also say something about the absorbability of Copper (amino chelate 10%)? Thank you in advance for your effort.
On 26 march 2021 by Customer serviceThis supplement contains de-acidified easily absorbed Vitamin C. It does not contain Ester-C, which is indeed the most absorbable form. As far as organic compounds are concerned, amino acid-bound minerals are the most absorbable, such as -bisglycinate and -methionine. Nevertheless, zinc bound to organic acids such as citrate or picolinate can also be well absorbed. Of these two, zinc picolinate is absorbed the best but still not as well as amino acid-bound minerals. How well and how much is absorbed is difficult to estimate because it depends on your health and can vary from person to person.
