Is there potassium in hawthorn? I am trying to find out where my high potassium level is coming from. Kind regards
On 11 december 2023 by Customer serviceThere is no potassium in the Hawthorn Herb Extract. We are not doctors, but a high potassium level usually doesn't result from food or drink intake. It can occur when the kidneys aren't functioning optimally. Therefore, we advise you to continue your investigation with your doctor or therapist.
On 19 may 2014 by Customer serviceVitexin is a compound also found in monk's pepper, millet, and a certain type of bamboo. It is known that vitexin has a direct effect on blood vessels (see for example this source).
Of the two, it is therefore more important to know how much vitexin the hawthorn extract contains.
The Hawthorn Herb Extract contains a standardised extract, but also the unprocessed berry powder. This gives it a broader effect than just the extract alone. These capsules contain a total of 400 mg of hawthorn, while the Arkocaps capsules contain a total of 350 mg. So they are stronger in that respect as well. If you want to see how hawthorn works for you, it is best to take the Hawthorn Herb Extract from Solgar.
