The total amount of magnesium (30 + 250 mg) is somewhat high. However, if you were to give half the dosage of the Floradix Magnesium Elixir (10 ml per day), the total amount (155 mg) would be excellent and well within safe limits.
Elderberry can actually be taken throughout the entire autumn and winter.
The Sambucol for Kids syrup provides 22.8 grams of elderberry extract per 120 ml. If the child does not mind the flavour, they may also use the regular Sambucol. This provides 45 grams of elderberry extract per 120 ml, making it more concentrated and proportionately more cost-effective than the Kids variants. In terms of efficacy, the regular Sambucol is perfectly suitable for a 6-year-old. Children up to 12 years can take 5 ml per day. At this dosage, a 120 ml bottle lasts for 24 days, and a 230 mg bottle lasts for 46 days.
A dose of 5 ml provides approximately 1.88 grams of elderberry extract.
A chewable tablet provides 0.5 grams of elderberry extract. Therefore, the chewable tablets are less potent and proportionately less cost-effective than the liquid variants. The chewable tablets are particularly recommended if the child struggles with the taste of the syrups and prefers to use a chewable tablet.

Filler (sucrose), binding agent (maltodextrin), vitamin C, flavouring (forest fruits), anti-caking agents (silicon dioxide, stearic acid, and magnesium stearate), freeze-dried black elderberry powder (antivirin).
Another supplement to support the immune system is Baby Plex Drops. These drops are sweetened with fructose.
