Bio Active Magnesium

No, Bio Active Magnesium does not resemble Active H2 in any way. I also noticed that Google shows Bio Active Magnesium, but the composition and application are very different. The Active H2 supplements are only available through foreign websites.

Bio Active Magnesium contains magnesium carbonate as its main ingredient, a compact magnesium compound. As a result, the tablet, which contains 200 mg of elemental magnesium, is relatively small (approximately one and a half cm long).

Although anyone can use magnesium citrate, it is particularly suitable for older individuals with reduced digestion.

 Magnesium taurate is an even bulkier compound. Most supplements therefore contain around 50 to 150 mg of elemental magnesium per capsule or tablet. It is excellently absorbed in the body, but is relatively more expensive. An important advantage of magnesium taurate is that taurine is a beneficial nutrient that supports the action of magnesium. The amino acid taurine is a valuable nutrient for the muscles, heart, eyes, and brain.

For example, if someone wishes to take 400 mg of elemental magnesium, they can take two tablets of Bio Active Magnesium or two tablets of Magnesium Citrate. To achieve the same amount of magnesium, one could also take eight capsules of Magnesium Taurate. Of course, the latter is relatively much more expensive.

Bio Active Magnesium is a tablet that can be swallowed whole, with a few sips of water.

Dissolving it in water is allowed. Crushing it and mixing it with, for example, applesauce or yoghurt is also perfectly fine.

Magnesium acetate (magnesium bound to acetic acid) is not a well-known magnesium compound. Magnesium citrate (magnesium bound to citric acid) is, as it is particularly well absorbed.

Magnesium acetate is primarily used in the food industry, rather than in dietary supplements.

Bio Active Magnesium has been on the market for a long time, even before magnesium citrate, magnesium bisglycinate, and magnesium taurate became popular. It is a relatively small tablet containing 200 mg of elemental magnesium, but it contains less popular magnesium compounds, such as inorganic magnesium carbonate.

Magnesium citrate is indeed magnesium bound to citric acid, but it is not a free acid as it is part of the mineral compound. Therefore, it is not acidic in the stomach, unlike, for example, vitamin C (ascorbic acid) or pure citric acid can be.

One advantage of magnesium citrate is that it does not require digestive activity to be absorbed. It is therefore recommended if there is, for example, low stomach acid due to medication.

Bio Active Magnesium contains magnesium oxide and magnesium carbonate, mineral compounds that are highly dependent on sufficient stomach acid for proper absorption.
