Hello, I was wondering if it matters that the ratio of EPA to DHA is reversed compared to fish oil. Does this affect the function of the omega-3 or its advantages and/or disadvantages?

Otherwise, it is "simply" an Omega-3 and its basic function remains the same. I read here that you can possibly chew the capsules and suck out the contents. Could you also open them and mix the contents with a glass of water? I'm not a child, but I find swallowing capsules quite unpleasant.
On 15 may 2019 by Customer serviceThe oil will not mix with the water but will float and partially stick to the glass. However, you could mix the contents with a thick substance such as some yoghurt, custard, applesauce, or a smoothie.
Chewing them is, however, the easiest option (no mess or greasy fingers).
What is best to use, omega-3 or algae oil? And what is the essential difference? Kind regards
On 12 april 2019 by Customer serviceAlgae oil is a source of omega-3 fatty acids. The two terms thus refer to more or less the same product, although there are other sources of omega-3 fatty acids such as fish oil.
Algae oil is a vegan alternative to fish oil.
Algae oil capsules are relatively more expensive and less highly dosed (especially concerning the amount of EPA) than fish oil capsules. Algae oil provides relatively more DHA than EPA, whereas it is the opposite for fish oil.
Algae oil and fish oil can be used for the same purposes. The main reason to choose algae oil is that one does not wish to consume animal products. Non-vegans may be better off using fish oil.
Is this product suitable for children aged 13 and 9?
On 26 september 2018 by Customer serviceYes, the algae oil is suitable for children from the age of 9. The recommended dosage of 2 capsules per day is also perfectly fine for children.
If the capsules are too large to swallow whole, they can also be bitten and sucked empty. The empty capsule can then be spat out or chewed completely (after a while, the capsule shell becomes soft).
On 26 march 2018 by Customer serviceThere was also a typo in the ingredients list (unfortunately also on the packaging), namely ascorbyl myristate instead of ascorbypalmitate. This is a fat-soluble form of vitamin C.
The product does not contain corn starch.
