On 20 march 2016 by Customer serviceDiarrhoea is not an expected side effect of the enzymes in this product.
Once the diarrhoea has fully resolved, you could try taking the product again to see if it goes better.
What purpose are you using this product for?
On 11 march 2016 by Customer serviceThe product can certainly be used for a longer period if necessary, but it should not serve as an alternative to sensible eating habits (chewing well, not talking while eating, not washing down food with drinks, not overeating at each meal, consuming fruit and soup on an empty stomach, etc.).
It is not really intended to be used as a course, as enzymes primarily have a symptom-relieving effect and thus are only effective immediately after ingestion. However, the product can be used to temporarily give the intestines some rest, allowing for the restoration of gut flora and intestinal mucosa with the help of other supplements during that period. Therefore, it can indeed be part of a course.

Similase Total, on the other hand, is a complex preparation that consists of protein, fat, and carbohydrate-splitting enzymes. It is highly unlikely that anyone produces all those enzymes in insufficient quantities, and excessive use of enzyme preparations could lead to the body producing fewer enzymes on one hand, and on the other hand, it may not correct poor eating habits (such as talking and drinking too much during meals). For this reason, many of these complex preparations emphasise that they are intended for short-term use only, and preferably just once a day (with the main meal). Unless there is a valid medical reason to use the complex more frequently or for a longer duration. That is something only a doctor can determine.
