As a vegetarian, I notice that I don't get enough protein, especially since I'm not keen on all the meat substitutes and their quasi-meat approaches. My partner uses whey powder, but that's not really vegetarian either. I decided to get the Raw Rice Protein from the Vitaminstore in Haarlem. I never liked regular whey with just water, so I always made a shake with milk, banana, and cinnamon. I tried this straight away with the Raw Rice Protein. It’s great! Even tastier than the whey powders. No weird, sticky, whey-like taste. The rice powder does add a certain graininess to the drink, a bit like bits in a well-known yoghurt snack in a squeeze pack for on the go, but much finer. If you drink it just with water or milk, you wouldn't want to, as it has quite a pronounced flavour. That flavour fits perfectly in a banana-cinnamon shake. Half milk - half water in the banana shake works well too; it makes it a bit more fluid and less grainy. So experiment, but add some flavour! Top product for me, it gives me more energy and leaves me feeling less hungry and weak. Highly recommended for other vegetarians! Add some suitable vitamins and eat a varied diet, and suddenly you can get ten times more!
