What are organic Chicory fibres?
The chicory plant is a genus from the composite family and is closely related to endive and radicchio. Chicory was already used by the Egyptians.
Chicory is a biennial plant. In the first year, the root grows and the plant stores a large energy reserve to form beautiful, blue-purple flowers in the second year. That reserve is inulin, also known as chicory root fibre. For the plant, this is a source of energy, for us, a 100% plant-based fibre. The origin of the organic chicory fibres is Belgium.
Plant-based fibres
Organic Chicory is rich in fibre and consists of 85% natural plant fibres. Part of these fibres are polysaccharides, namely inulin (fructan) and pectin. This product contains approximately 70% inulin and 9% pectin.
How to use organic Chicory fibres?
Organic chicory fibres have a sweet, slightly bitter taste and can be added to yoghurt, smoothies, muesli, salads, soups, or a sauce.
Mattisson chicory fibres are free from heavy metals and pesticides.

Ingredients
Orafti®Organic IN Organic Chicory Root Powder.
Take 1 heaped teaspoon (approx. 5 g) per day with a meal or as prescribed by your therapist or doctor.
Dissolve the powder in a shaker with water, smoothie or yoghurt.
