Great supplement for vegans, all that I needed
A good product, leaves no aftertaste.
Omega 3 is said to be the best supplement against depression, I'm pleased that I can use this in an animal-friendly version as a pescatarian.
It's a shame that this product contains additives whose effects are not clear, including carrageenan.

Omega-3, sunflower oil, rosemary extract, tocopherol (antioxidant), ascorbyl palmitate (antioxidant), vegetarian capsule (modified corn starch, glycerol, carrageenan, anhydrous sodium carbonate).
Take 1 capsule per day, swallow whole with water, preferably with a meal.
Store in a cool, dry place, tightly sealed.

To what extent does this algae oil differ from your own brand of algae oil and that of Testa with DHA and EPA?
On 23 november 2023 by Customer serviceThe algae oil from Testa DHA and EPA is exactly the same as the Vitaminstore algae oil. Both contain 250 mg DHA and 125 mg EPA. This is quite unique for an algae oil to contain such high levels of DHA and EPA together.
How many capsules are in this jar?

There are different strengths of the algae oil. Is 150 DHA and 75 EPA a sort of minimum? And is 210 DHA and 70 EPA better then? The lower dosage seems to be more expensive.
On 12 march 2021 by Customer serviceThere is no minimum amount of EPA and DHA established that must be present in supplements. The nutrition centre advises taking at least 200 mg of EPA/DHA combined daily, but from the perspective of orthomolecular nutritional science, an optimal amount of at least 500 mg to 1000 mg of EPA/DHA per day is recommended.
The label states omega 3 481 mg, but the total amount of DHA and EPA combined is 225 mg. Is the remaining 256 mg then another type of Omega 3, or does it consist of sunflower oil and other ingredients?

I'm not a vegetarian, but I do eat little meat/fish. Would 1 capsule be sufficient when trying for a baby/pregnancy?

The intake of at least 450 mg DHA by the mother contributes to the normal development of the eyes of the unborn baby (and in breastfed infants). Additionally, the intake of at least 450 mg DHA by the mother is beneficial for the development of the brain function of the foetus (and of breastfed infants).
