Ghee is prepared using the traditional Indian method where butter is heated until all moisture evaporates. This Ghee is made from genuine Dutch butter. Ghee can be heated to very high temperatures without releasing harmful substances. It has a smoke point of 250°C, making it extremely suitable for frying. Ghee is widely used in the Indian Ayurvedic kitchen, particularly for frying and roasting. Unlike traditional Ghee from India, Mattisson Ghee is delightfully neutral with a mild flavour. Ghee enhances digestion: beneficial substances are better absorbed, and waste substances are effectively eliminated. Ghee is naturally rich in vitamin A (approximately 100 micrograms per tablespoon) and vitamin E.
