Manuka trees are found on the North Island of New Zealand and are part of the large tea tree family.
The scent of manuka oil is unique and unmistakable: spicy, earthy, and somewhat animalistic.
The oil is not so suitable for use in a lamp, but it is an excellent oil for the skin.
One of the strongest antifungal oils (candida, athlete's foot) and can be helpful in soothing itchy and red skin.
In a shampoo, manuka can replace the better-known tea tree for head lice.
