Ingredients
Dextrose, maltodextrin, sodium chloride, sodium hydrogen carbonate, acidifier citric acid, potassium chloride, colour red beet juice powder, anti-caking agent silicon dioxide, flavouring pomegranate, orange and blood orange, sweetener sucralose, colour riboflavin-5-phosphate sodium
O.R.S. is mixed in water and taken orally. Dosage for adults and children over 20 kg: Dissolve the contents of 1 sachet in 200 ml of reliable drinking water (do not use in combination with other liquids/drinks). Stir until the powder is completely dissolved and then slowly drink the O.R.S. solution.
Administer after each bowel movement.

On 12 august 2018 by Customer serviceOral Rehydration Salts are administered when someone is experiencing diarrhoea or prolonged vomiting, to prevent dehydration. This is particularly important when travelling in tropical regions or during a heatwave, for example.
The product comes with a leaflet, but here are the key guidelines:
- Dissolve the entire sachet of powder in water. Ensure that you use the correct amount of water for this purpose. Check the packaging or the leaflet for the appropriate amount. If tap water is not reliable, use still mineral water.
- Drink the solution after each watery diarrhoea episode and after every instance of vomiting. If you cannot drink much at once, gradually sip small amounts throughout the day.
- Continue to use ORS as long as diarrhoea or vomiting persists.
- For children under 2 years and elderly individuals over 70 years: consult a doctor if diarrhoea lasts longer than 1 day, as they are at greater risk of dehydration. Others: consult a doctor after 3 days.
- If vomiting does not decrease after 1 day, consult a doctor.
- There are virtually no side effects. Individuals with poor kidney function or diabetes should be mindful of the sugar and salt content in ORS.
