Maca (Lepidium meyenii) is a root vegetable that grows high in the Andes and is packed with essential nutrients.
The maca is a cruciferous plant and is the only edible plant that can survive under extreme weather conditions and at an altitude between 3000 and 4000 metres. The roots of the plant are therefore highly nutritious.
Our extract contains, in addition to 2.5% beta-sitosterol, various macamides and macaenes.
