I have a histamine intolerance and need calcium. I've tried many things, but most calcium supplements cause me some digestive issues. Due to the histamine intolerance, I also find myself needing to use the loo more often. I have a question: could Calicaps be suitable for me? Could you let me know if they are gentle on the digestive system? I've been purchasing your products for years and have been very pleased with them. I hope you can assist me. Regards, Marianne
On 28 october 2025 by Customer serviceThe CalciCaps Forte contains a mild form of calcium (calcium gluconate) and is generally well tolerated by those with histamine intolerance. It does contain a small amount of soy lecithin, but this is usually so minimal that it doesn't cause any issues. Start slowly with 1 capsule with a meal and observe how your body reacts.
If you do experience any discomfort, it might be better to switch to a soy-free calcium citrate.
