AOV 711 GLA - Fatty Acid Supplement
It's important that the balance between different types of unsaturated fats in the diet is maintained (for example, the balance between omega 3 and omega 6 fatty acids). GLA (gamma-linolenic acid) is an omega 6 fatty acid derived from the seeds of evening primrose, borage plant, and blackcurrants. GLA is scarcely found in everyday food. The body can produce this fatty acid from linoleic acid, which is abundant in foods like sunflower oil, corn oil, and soybean oil, as well as in butter and cooking fats. In certain situations, additional GLA is recommended to supplement the diet.
711 GLA contains 1,000 mg of borage oil per capsule.
