The role of vitamin C in the body
The formation of the (cartilage) bone and connective tissue component collagen cannot occur without vitamin C. Vitamin C converts the amino acids lysine and proline into the building blocks of collagen with the help of iron-containing enzymes. Therefore, vitamin C is essential for maintaining the strength and upkeep of collagen structures, such as connective tissue, endothelial tissue (blood vessel walls!), and cartilage, which has also been established in scientific research.
As a water-soluble antioxidant, vitamin C offers protection to all water-loving tissues against free radicals or other oxidants. Moreover, vitamin C can restore oxidised vitamin E to its antioxidant state, allowing it to regain its antioxidant function in fat-soluble tissues.

Vitamin C is also of great importance for the proper functioning of the immune system. For instance, the effective functioning of important immune cells, such as leukocytes and phagocytes, is highly dependent on the presence of sufficient vitamin C.

Additionally, C-Perfect is deacidified using equal amounts of calcium and magnesium, ensuring the balance of these substances is maintained, even at higher dosages. Finally, C-Perfect contains 50 mg of bioflavonoid complex, giving the formula the character of a vitamin C complex, the natural form of vitamin C that is best absorbed and most active.
