Hello, I have an (energetic) son who is 8 and a daughter who is 4 years old. I would like to give them the multivitamin from Animal Parade and additionally provide a vitamin D and omega 3 supplement. For the vitamin D, I would like to use the one from Animal Planet, and for the omega 3, I'm torn between the one from Animal Planet and Moller cod liver oil (but another brand would also be fine). Which combination do you recommend? Thank you in advance for your response!
On 04 february 2020 by Customer serviceThe Omega 3 from Animal Parade is a product based on algae oil (suitable for vegans) and contains only DHA and no EPA. Additionally, it is very low in dosage. For comparison: the DHA/algae oil from Animal Parade contains only 40 mg of DHA per daily dosage of 3 chewable tablets, whereas Moller cod liver oil contains 600 mg of DHA + 400 mg of EPA per daily dosage of 5 ml. If there is no vegan diet involved, we recommend choosing Moller cod liver oil.

This was the response: "This was a precaution due to the upcoming changes in the additives regulation. However, there is still no clarity... The expectation is that more information will be available at the beginning of next year, but that is also uncertain. We are currently setting the age limit to 3 years for the new labels."
In other words: your child who is nearly 3 years old can safely use the tablets. The most important thing is that the child can chew well to avoid choking. Regarding the dosage of all vitamins and minerals, the formula is essentially suitable for children from 1 year old.
