With these pH strips, you can easily measure the acidity of liquids. A liquid is acidic if the pH is lower than 7 and is basic if the pH is higher than 7. Simply dip the pH strip into the liquid, compare the strip's colours with the colour chart, and you'll know the acidity level!

Unfortunately, I'm not too impressed with the use of the Alka Ph test strips. My strip always gives three different results. When the yellow box indicates a pH of 6.5, the green is only 6, and the red is 7. Am I supposed to average these myself and then also average the score for the day?? If the different colours don't represent specific values (as stated in the answer to another question), then why use three different colours? It doesn't really make it any more accurate.
The test strips do what they are supposed to do; testing the body's acidity. I have tested them several times and they perform their job well.
Measure the acidity level of your body through your saliva and urine. These pH strips are CE certified and can also be used by medical professionals. By regularly measuring the pH value of saliva and urine, you can track the progress of your deacidification and subsequently monitor your acid-base balance.

- For measurement via urine: dip a pH strip into the morning urine for 1 second. It is important to perform the measurement as quickly as possible, as the acidity of the urine can be affected by the reaction with carbon dioxide (CO2) from the air.
- For measurement via saliva: ensure that you have not eaten or drunk anything (including water) for at least 1.5 hours beforehand. Swallow a few times to dry the mouth and tongue well. Then produce some saliva and place the strip, with the coloured squares facing down, on the tongue. The most accurate measurement is obtained when your body is fasting.
Then compare the colours of the strip with the colour chart from the box.
pH value between 6.0 and 7.3 = healthy
pH value between 5.0 and 6.0 = complaints may develop
pH value between 4.5 and 5.0 = complaints may be present
