What are fibres?
Dietary fibres are long chains of carbohydrates, consisting of 10 or more carbohydrate building blocks (monosaccharides), which cannot be broken down by digestive enzymes in the human small intestine. Dietary fibres are an important part of a varied and balanced diet. Fibres can be divided into two categories: water-soluble and non-water-soluble fibres. Examples of water-soluble fibres include guar bean fibres (also known as galactomannan), inulin (FOS), and psyllium fibres. Non-water-soluble fibres include wheat bran and fibres from other (whole grain) cereals. Water-soluble fibres are also known as prebiotics because they can be fermented by the gut flora. The better a fibre dissolves, the better it is fermented. Fermentation by the gut flora produces metabolites such as short-chain fatty acids (including butyrate, propionate, acetate). However, it is important that this fermentation process does not occur too quickly, as this can cause gas formation.

Ingredients
Fermented guar bean fibres (from Indian guar beans, Cyamopsis tetragonoloba).

Take 1-2 level scoops (5-10 grams) per day with a meal, or as advised. Mix with water (approx. 200 ml) or another liquid. Allow the drink to stand for a moment to give the fibres the opportunity to dissolve completely. The fibres can also be added to food (such as yoghurt), even to warm foods.

A 15 ml scoop (= approx. 5 grams) is included.
