I have almost everything in liquid form because I find it difficult to swallow pills. I just mix everything together in a glass of juice, easy and quick.
Tastes disgusting
Particularly good absorption!! Thanks to this product, I am no longer tired
The drops have a good absorption, I have really benefited from them.
Good product due to quick and effective absorption. Thus, I prefer liquid over capsules.
Note: the listing of the various minerals in the Elementary Magnesium on the label has changed. Boron, sulphate, and potassium are no longer specified as these are naturally occurring trace elements whose quantities can slightly fluctuate per batch. However, the composition of the product has not changed. It still consists of 100% Concentrated Mineral Drops (a concentrated and dehydrated extract with the full spectrum of minerals and trace elements from the Great Salt Lake, Utah).
Elementary Magnesium is based on ‘concentrated mineral drops’ (CMD), a special seawater concentrate from the Great Salt Lake with the full spectrum of minerals and trace elements (devoid of almost all sodium). This product is manufactured through a traditional and natural concentration process using the sun. The seawater concentrate naturally contains a high level of magnesium.
The minerals and trace elements in Elementary Magnesium are present in dissolved and ionic form, as electrolytes. This means they are not bound to other elements but exist as separate electrically charged particles. For example, magnesium chloride (MgCL2) dissociates into the ions Mg2+ (positively charged magnesium) and CL- (negatively charged chloride) when dissolved in water. In this way, minerals also exist in our body, dissolved in intra- and extracellular fluids such as blood plasma. Minerals in ionic form are therefore well absorbed.
About magnesium and its health effects
The body contains approximately 21 to 28 grams of magnesium. Less than 1% circulates in the blood, about 20% is found in muscles, 20% in other soft tissues and the liver, and about 60% is built into bones and teeth. Magnesium is therefore beneficial for muscles and important for maintaining strong bones and teeth. Furthermore, it is involved in more than 300 enzymatic processes. For instance, magnesium is an important co-factor for enzymes involved in protein synthesis (the process by which proteins are made based on DNA). It also contributes to a good electrolyte balance as it is a co-factor for many enzymes involved in maintaining an electrical potential across the cell membrane. (Cells – especially nerve and muscle cells – use the electrical charge of electrolytes to conduct electrical impulses to and from other cells, such as nerve impulses or muscle contractions.) In this way, magnesium is involved in nerve conduction and muscle contraction, and is thus important for muscle function, including the heart muscle. Additionally, inadequate magnesium intake can lead to fatigue. In such cases, magnesium can help to regain fitness. It helps release energy from fats, carbohydrates, and proteins, thus supporting energy levels. It is also important for brain and nerve functions, which determine aspects such as concentration, memory, and mood. Moreover, it contributes to normal cell division and the creation of cells and tissues.

The Concentrace is no longer manufactured. I read somewhere that Elemental Magnesium is almost identical in composition to Concentrace. Is this correct? And does Elemental Magnesium also contain iodine?
This product is nearly identical to ConcenTrace. Elemental Magnesium also comes from the Great Salt Lake and is based on CMD (Concentrated Mineral Drops), a seawater concentrate with the full spectrum of minerals and trace elements (devoid of almost all sodium).
The difference between ConcenTrace and Elemental Magnesium is that Elemental Magnesium contains slightly less magnesium and chloride, and slightly more sodium. These differences are almost negligible. The products are made through a traditional and natural concentration process using the sun. The difference lies in the fact that ConcenTrace has undergone this concentration process for two years, while Elemental Magnesium for one and a half years.
It contains Magnesium, Chloride, and Sodium.
Can the elemental magnesium from Vitals also be used for children?
Elemental magnesium from Vitals can be used for a child. The recommendation is 1 drop per day, from the age of 4 years.
This concerns Vitals elemental magnesium liquid. The usage advice is 2 times a day, 1ml with the option to drop. But...how many drops are in 1ml? Strangely enough, this is not indicated on the packaging. Kind regards.
The dosage is marked with lines on the pipette.
With all forms of magnesium supplements (even the most expensive best forms, e.g. Taurate/malate), I experience a strong laxative effect. How does this product compare? Does it bypass the laxative effect?
With magnesium malate, the laxative effect of magnesium is minimal. This is also true for magnesium bisglycinate. In these forms, magnesium is bound to an amino acid. These bonds are so strong that magnesium is not present in its elemental form in the small intestine, but as a compound. This means that hardly any water is drawn into the intestine, which normally happens with elemental magnesium, potentially leading to watery diarrhoea.
