I've been using this product for a while and find that this is the best brand to which I respond well.
The plants containing berberine have been used for thousands of years in India, China, Japan, and many other countries. Since the 1950s, berberine has also been isolated as a compound and used as a dietary supplement. Over the past twenty years, scientific interest has grown tremendously, and now approximately 200 articles about berberine are published annually.
Absorption of berberine
Berberine remains partially in the gastrointestinal tract. It leaves beneficial bacteria untouched and can therefore be excellently taken before or combined with a probiotic. After absorption through the intestinal mucosa, it is partly pumped back into the intestinal cavity and partly broken down in the intestinal wall or liver. This explains why the plasma level of berberine remains low. However, studies have also shown that berberine and metabolites are rapidly absorbed by the liver, kidneys, muscles, lungs, brain, heart, pancreas, and adipose tissue. The berberine level was found to be many times higher in most tissues examined than in blood plasma.

Hello, I use acetylsalicylic acid cardio Teva 80 mg. Because I have type 2 diabetes, I would like to start using berberine as a dietary supplement. Is this advisable?

Because you are taking acetylsalicylic acid (80 mg) and possibly other diabetes medication, it is important to be cautious. Berberine can lower blood sugar further and may also affect blood clotting.
We therefore advise discussing this first with your GP or treating physician before starting berberine.
Is it possible to combine this berberine (3x 500 mg per day) with saffron and ashwagandha? Are there any vitamins/minerals with which it should not be combined? Thank you in advance!
