On the Algarithm® website, they state that they try to stay out of Mother Nature's way in the production of their nutrients. A nice slogan, but what does that entail?
Algarithm® protects its algae during the cultivation and extraction of DHA from any form of contaminants. They use a solvent-free process to naturally extract omega-3 from the algae. A fermentation process, commonly used in beer or kombucha production, is at the core of this process. They guarantee a pure closed environment, specially designed to maximise omega-3 output. A harvesting method approved by Mother Nature!

Can you add this to yoghurt as well?
On 04 march 2026 by Customer serviceIt’s not a problem to add the algae oil to yoghurt. The only possible downside is the taste, but that’s very personal, of course.
We've been giving these drops to our little one for some time now (he's 2.5, nearly 3). Oddly enough, he likes them. Now the bottle is finished, and I want to buy it again, but I don't see it mentioned (anymore?) that it's suitable for children? And if so, how much should you give? I'd like to be able to calculate it again, now that he's a bit older. We eat vegetarian.

The European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) investigated the safety of omega 3 fatty acids and concluded that even heavy users do not experience harmful effects. We usually consume too few omega 3 fatty acids. The dosage of 24 drops can be used safely for children as well; you could possibly spread this throughout the day by giving the drops divided between morning and dinner.
