Inositol is a substance naturally present in the body and is often grouped with the B vitamin family due to structural similarities. It is therefore sometimes referred to as a ‘semi-vitamin’: not an essential vitamin, but an endogenous substance with vitamin-like properties. It is an important component of phospholipids in cell membranes and functions as a signalling molecule.

Inositol occurs naturally in several forms that the body can produce itself. It can also be obtained through diet. It is found in a range of foods, particularly plant-based products such as grains, legumes, citrus fruits, nuts, seeds and wholegrains. Certain vegetables, meat and maize also contain inositol.

Myo-inositol and D-chiro-inositol in the natural 40:1 ratio
Myo-Inositol Complex combines a therapeutically relevant dose of myo-inositol and D-chiro-inositol in the natural 40:1 ratio, exactly as it occurs in the body. In addition, the formula is enhanced with N-Acetyl-Carnitine, L-Arginine and N-Acetyl-Cysteine.

Myo-inositol and D-chiro-inositol naturally occur together and partly operate within the same biological processes. Each fulfils its own distinct yet complementary role.

High-dose myo-inositol
One scoop contains no less than 4 grams of myo-inositol. This is the most common and best-researched form of inositol. By opting for a generous dose per scoop, the formulation aligns with amounts frequently used in scientific studies.

With Chirositol®: purified and traceable quality
D-chiro-inositol is produced in the body from myo-inositol and naturally occurs alongside it. For the D-chiro-inositol in this formula, we have chosen Chirositol®, a high-quality, traceable form derived from carob (Ceratonia siliqua).

Chirositol® is standardised, ensuring a consistent composition from batch to batch. It contains at least 95% pure D-chiro-inositol and is produced without the use of solvents. This gives you the assurance of controlled, clean quality.

Supplemented with carefully selected amino acids
Our formula is also supplemented with L-Arginine, N-Acetyl-Cysteine and N-Acetyl-Carnitine. These amino acids have been selected based on how they work together and their roles within various cellular processes. N-Acetyl-Cysteine
N-Acetyl-Cysteine is a stable form of the amino acid L-cysteine. By attaching an acetyl group, a molecule is created that is more easily absorbed by the body and protected against premature breakdown. Once inside the cell, the bond is split, making cysteine available.

Cysteine is a building block of glutathione, an endogenous tripeptide found in virtually all cells. Through diet, cysteine can be obtained from protein-rich foods of both animal and plant origin.

N-Acetyl-Carnitine
N-Acetyl-Carnitine is an acetylated form of the amino acid-like molecule L-carnitine. The acetyl group also helps this molecule to be absorbed more easily. In the cell, the acetyl group is removed, releasing L-carnitine.

Carnitine occurs naturally in the body, which can produce it itself, but it can also be obtained through diet. Animal products in particular contain high concentrations of carnitine, such as red meat, poultry, fish and dairy. Plant sources contain less carnitine, although small amounts are found in wholegrain wheat products, asparagus and avocado.

With silicon from bamboo extract
Finally, silicon from bamboo extract has been added to Myo-Inositol Complex. Bamboo extract is a plant-based source of the trace element silicon and is obtained from the leaves, branches and stems of the bamboo plant.

Bamboo culms can contain up to 70% silicon (in the form of silicic acid), which is why bamboo is considered one of the richest natural sources of this trace element. By processing and extracting these plant parts, a concentrated bamboo extract is obtained. This makes bamboo extract a natural, plant-based source of silicon within the composition of this formula.
