Psyllium husk as a source of fibre
The current European daily recommended amount of fibre is 25 grams, something many of us do not reach with our modern diet. Psyllium fibres are an excellent fibre supplement because they can normalise the amount of stool by retaining moisture while forming a soft gel, allowing the stool to move more easily through the lower digestive tract. Psyllium fibres have the advantage of being much milder than general fibre supplements (like wheat and bran), which can irritate sensitive intestines.
Probiotics
Tricolin contains 5 probiotic strains:
Lactobacillus rhamnosus CCM 5217
Bifidobacterium bifidum CCM 5215
Lactobacillus acidophilus CCM 5212
Lactobacillus plantarum CCM 5209
Lactobacillus bulgaricus CCM 6833
Prebiotics (inulin)
Inulin is a fibre sourced from the chicory root. Inulin is not broken down by the body; it is fermented by the live bacteria in the intestines to stimulate the growth of live bacteria.

Each 5g serving contains 3.5g psyllium fibres, 1.5g inulin, 1 billion probiotic cultures (1x 109 CFU).

Psyllium fibres (plantago ovata), inulin, probiotic cultures.
Take at least 10 minutes before a meal. Shake before use.
Adults: mix 1 to 2 heaped teaspoons (5-10 grams) in a glass of water or fruit juice (approx. 100ml) twice a day and drink immediately. Follow with another glass of water or fruit juice (min. 300ml). We recommend starting with a low dosage and gradually increasing.
Children: mix 1 heaped teaspoon (5 grams) in a glass of water or fruit juice (approx. 100ml) twice a day under parental supervision. Follow with another glass of water or fruit juice (min. 100ml). Parents are advised to consult a doctor or specialist before administering Tricolin to children under 12 years of age.
Tricolin is suitable for use during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Allergen information
Tricolin may contain traces of soy and milk, which are used in the nutrient medium of the bacterial strains, at a level that does not affect those with lactose intolerance.
Important information
Taking Tricolin without water may lead to choking. Consult your doctor before using Tricolin if you have recently undergone bowel surgery or suffer from a bowel obstruction.
