Orthosiphon, also known as cat's whiskers, grows in Northern Australia, New Guinea, Indonesia, Thailand, the Philippines, and India.
The plant prefers to grow in a forest near a stream or river.
The stamens of the flower have thus given it the name cat's whiskers.
These can be purple, white, or bluish.
Orthosiphon, or cat's whiskers, can grow up to nearly two metres tall.
