Royal Green Cholesterol Support provides 100% certified organic red yeast rice, artichoke leaf and olive leaf. Red yeast rice originally comes from China. Around 2,000 years ago, people there fermented white rice using the yeast Monascus purpureus. This process creates the characteristic deep red colour of the rice and forms monacolins. Red yeast rice is known for its high concentration of these natural compounds, of which monacolin K is the best known. Artichoke leaf extract is added in a high concentration of at least 10:1 and, together with olive leaf, naturally supports the maintenance of healthy cholesterol levels in the blood.* The leaf contains 2.5% cynarin; this is a phytonutrient and occurs naturally in artichoke leaf. The olive leaf extract is supplied in a 5:1 ratio and contains at least 5% oleuropein. Oleuropein is an antioxidant that occurs naturally in the leaf and the olive. Olive leaf is good for circulation.* Olive leaf has been added as a supplement of antioxidants.*
