A total of 300 micrograms of chromium is an acceptable, safe amount. So if you wish to temporarily increase your intake a bit further, that is perfectly fine. The World Health Organisation (WHO) sets a safe upper limit of 250 mcg per day, but it is not an issue to take a slightly higher dose for a few weeks or months. There are no known adverse effects of excessive chromium intake, and in the Netherlands, there is no maximum dose set.
