Full composition: Red fermented Rice extract (Monascus purpureus), microcrystalline cellulose, dicalcium phosphate, hypromellose, titanium dioxide, silicon dioxide, iron oxide, talc, polyethylene glycol, magnesium salts of fatty acids.
1 tablet per day, unless otherwise advised.
Preferably taken during a meal.
Adhere to the recommended dosage.
If you are using cholesterol-lowering agents in the group of HMG-CoA reductase inhibitors (statins), it is advised to first contact the prescribing doctor. Grapefruit juice can affect the action of Monacolin K and should only be consumed in moderation.

Is Allisan unavailable? That's not good! I would like 2 jars of Allisan and 1 jar of Red Yeast Rice.

A possible alternative to Allisan is Wapiti Garlic 2000, available in a 30-day supply.
I took it for 2 days and felt quite strange the next morning, somewhat vacant. After that, I started searching and came across the following information: Due to the fermentation/yeast process of the rice, the toxic substance citrinine can develop. This needs to be removed through a special process. How can I be sure that this is not present in your product? And can I take half a dose, or is that pointless?

Manufacturers ensure that their products do not contain citrinine. Therefore, we do not advertise with phrases like "citrinine-free" as this would only cause confusion, since all red yeast rice capsules on our website and in other Dutch stores are citrinine-free.

It is perfectly fine to take half a dose or to start with that, but this is not necessary and the effect may be too weak as a result. Manufacturers and retailers may only make health claims regarding cholesterol when a supplement provides 10 mg of monacoline-K per daily dose. Therefore, for optimal effect, it is better to take one tablet per day.
I have no explanation for your vacant feeling. It is not a known or expected side effect of red yeast rice extract. If it was a one-time occurrence (that one morning), then it could be a coincidence.
