I find these small tablets taste good and are easy to take. How effective they truly are is difficult for me to assess.
The tablets are rather large and dissolve very slowly (sometimes taking almost half an hour). But the most important thing is that I noticed no difference in what I use B12 for. I was very satisfied with the B12 from the own brand, firstly because they are small and dissolve quickly, and secondly, I noticed a significant improvement in my condition. Unfortunately, the NOW jar is now sitting in the cupboard. But I quickly picked up a new jar from the own brand.

These are delicious chewable tablets and they work well.

What is the difference between B12 Active and B12 Memory Formula by Now Foods? Which one should I choose if I have a B12 deficiency? I see that one of them contains folic acid. Is it advisable to always take folic acid alongside vitamin B12 since they work together in the body? Oh, I see there's a third one from Now Foods simply called B12 haha, but I notice it doesn't contain Methylcobalamin.

This way, you maintain a proper balance in the body regarding B vitamins. You could, for instance, combine it with a multivitamin that contains the full B complex. The name "B12 Memory Formula" is a bit misleading because you might think of a formula as a composition of multiple nutrients, but this product only contains B12 methylcobalamin. The B12 chewable tablets from Now contain cyanocobalamin, which is the inactive form and therefore less well absorbed by the body.

These Vitamin B12 Active tablets have a dose of 1000 mcg B12. This is a high but fairly normal dosage for supplements. As a vegetarian, you do not necessarily have to take 1000 mcg B12 every day, as dairy and eggs also provide B12. However, as a vegan (someone who also does not consume dairy), the need for B12 through a supplement is greater, but even vegans do not necessarily have to take these 1000 mcg tablets every day. Taking a tablet every two days, or half a tablet every two days, is also fine, provided there is no deficiency established by a doctor.
The Female Multiple is an excellent multi, suitable for vegetarians. The manufacturer recommends taking 3 tablets per day, but in principle, 2 tablets per day is also perfectly fine. Each tablet provides, among other things, 67 mcg of vitamin B12, 6 mg of iron, and 50 mcg of iodine. It also contains 133 mg of calcium and 133 mcg of magnesium per tablet.
