Formulation based on bacterial strains, specially selected for children from the moment they start on solid foods up to 12 years old. Each capsule contains 10 billion beneficial bacteria: 5 billion Lactobacillus acidophilus NCFM and 5 billion Bifidobacterium lactis Bi-07.
Now supplemented with 1 mcg of vitamin D3 (contributes to the normal functioning of the immune system) and blackberry extract.

Vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol) 1 mcg 40 IU 20%
Blackberry extract (fruit) (leaf) 50 mg
* CFU = colony-forming units
% = percentage of the recommended daily allowance
Excipients: Filler (microcrystalline cellulose), blackberry, HMPC (capsule), bacterial cultures, anti-caking agent (magnesium stearate), vitamin D.
Suitable for vegetarians.
1 capsule per day or as recommended.
For young children, open the capsule and mix the powder with some water.

Will you be adding the packaging with 5 billion bacteria from Probactiol to your range soon? (56 pieces) My daughter is currently using them and has benefited from it. Therefore, switching to 10 billion doesn't seem necessary. I get them elsewhere, and it would be convenient if I could also order them through you :-)

On 19 june 2017 by Customer serviceI see that our site stated "from 3 to 12 years". This is incorrect (I cannot find it on the manufacturer's website). The product is suitable for children from around 1 year, provided that for the very youngest, the capsule is first opened.
For the Probactiol Junior Chewable, there is indeed a minimum age of 3 years because the chewable tablets contain a sweetener (xylitol).
Regarding the number of billion bacteria, this is more related to the severity of the situation than to age. For general maintenance, for example, 1 billion is sufficient, but if the child is recovering from an antibiotic course or needs a strong approach for other reasons (for example, preventively during a trip), you can safely give several weeks of 5 to 30 billion bacteria per day.
On 20 april 2017 by Customer serviceTherefore, it is advisable to give the Probactiol approximately an hour later, or perhaps later in the day. The exact timing is not crucial, and the stomach does not necessarily need to be empty.
On 01 december 2015 by Customer serviceFor infants who are not yet receiving supplementary feeding, a slightly different probiotic is usually recommended, one that does not include L. acidophilus (as that strain can be a bit too acidic for sensitive little tummies). For example, the Microbiol child 0-4 years (liquid) or the Orthiflor Start (powder).
