Not a pleasant cream. My skin feels tight when I use this product
Fine affordable cream
I've been using this for years, as during the colder months I quickly suffer from flaky, dry skin. In my personal experience, this cream is a lovely solution for that.
This cream is wonderfully soft
A very lovely nourishing night cream. It spreads nicely, feels rich, yet absorbs well. Unlike other night creams I've tried, it doesn't just sit on the skin. Leaves your skin feeling fresh in the morning!

In the ingredients list, alcohol is mentioned as the third ingredient. I believe this indicates that a considerable amount of alcohol has been incorporated into the product. According to my beautician, alcohol is harmful to your skin; it dries it out and can cause allergic reactions. The brand Madara is plant-based, so I wonder why alcohol has been included in the cream.
On 03 may 2019 by Customer serviceAlcohol in its pure form dries out the skin, but when combined with other ingredients (in this case, jojoba oil among others), this effect can easily be neutralised. Therefore, moisturising creams can also contain alcohol.
As natural cosmetics often contain many plant-based, sensitive oils, a preservative is absolutely essential; otherwise, the cream or lotion would spoil within a few days or weeks. Alcohol is very suitable in this regard.
Additionally, alcohol is used in natural cosmetics to dissolve other substances. Many herbal extracts are alcohol-based.
MADARA has consciously chosen natural ethyl alcohol as an alternative to parabens, and only as much as absolutely necessary.
