Ingredients
Fructo-oligosaccharides (FOS), a form of soluble fibre, can be found in many vegetables, such as chicory and onions.

Usage:
Unless otherwise prescribed, dissolve the recommended amount in water or fruit juice or use during meals:
- As a prebiotic (intestinal ‘conditioner’):
Adults: 5 to 10 grams per day
Children from 4 years: 2.5 to 5 grams per day
-Helps with regular digestion:
Adults: 15 to 20 grams per day
Children from 4 years: 5 to 10 grams

Warnings for use:

If the recommended dosage leads to excessive flatulence, reduce the dosage and build up slowly again. Flatulence is a positive sign and means that the FOS is being used as food by the ‘friendly’ bacteria in the gut. The flatulence will usually disappear after a few days.

FOS can temporarily cause bloating. This is short-lived. If the bloating persists for more than 3 days, then reduce the daily dosage.

Drink at least 2 litres of fluid per day. FOS is easy to use. It is a sweet soluble powder that dissolves easily in hot drinks or can be sprinkled over food.

FOS is safe for long-term use and is suitable for all ages, including children from 4 years and pregnant women.
