Ingredients
Cellulose, Betaine, Hydrochloride, Dicalcium Phosphate, Tablet Coating (Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose, Glycerine), Silicon Dioxide, Magnesium Stearate, Stearic Acid, Pepsin.
Usage:
As a dietary supplement to support protein digestion. Take 1 tablet with each meal, up to a maximum of 3 per day, unless otherwise advised. Swallow the tablet whole.
Warnings for use:
Do not use during a stomach ulcer or if this is suspected, and do not use during pregnancy or if breastfeeding.

The betaine in this compound does not alter gastric acidity, but simply 'delivers' the hydrochloric acid. I attach a monograph which suggests Betaine may be useful for bile production; however, I have not found any studies to support this. Alternatively, for bile production, I would recommend Ginger as the gingerols stimulate bile flow, and Ibisene Artichoke Extract."
In free translation: this supplement simply delivers the hydrochloric acid (for efficacy in the stomach) and is not different from the product you mention. The manufacturer is not aware of scientific documentation confirming that hydrochloric acid stimulates the release of bile. To support bile production, he recommends extracts of ginger and artichoke.
