This test measures the levels of FSH (follicle-stimulating hormone) and LH (luteinising hormone), which play a crucial role in regulating the menstrual cycle and indicating the transition phase. Even after menopause, these hormones can still provide insight into your body's hormone balance.
Hi, can you take this test if you are taking different supplements? Such as multivitamins, magnesium, black cohosh, etc. Or can you just skip them for a day and then do the test? Kind regards, Mary
On 17 august 2023 by Customer serviceHi, supplements that do not affect hormones, such as magnesium and "standard" multivitamins, can be continued. However, for the supplements you are taking for menopausal symptoms, it is advisable to stop them for about 3 or 4 days before taking the test.
Can you take the test if you're on the pill?
On 08 august 2023 by Customer serviceIt's not recommended to take this hormone test if you're using the contraceptive pill. While the test result is reliable, the values (LH and FSH) cannot be interpreted due to the influence of the pill.
