The inhabitants consume at least one piece of vegetable with every meal – even breakfast. Additionally, their diet mainly consists of fruit, nuts, seeds, legumes, and fish. In short, only pure and unprocessed food.
Not Training, but Moving
John was laughed at when he asked the locals if they engaged in sports. They do not participate in sports, but they do get plenty of physical activity. People of all ages are involved in physical activities such as farming. Everything in the area is done by hand, as the region is so remote that there is little to no equipment available.
Social Contacts
In the Bama district, many families live with four to five generations under one roof. Grandparents are very involved in raising their grandchildren, which benefits their health. Studies repeatedly show that people live longer when they have a strong social network and feel that they matter.
Stress
Stress has a significant impact on your body. Unfortunately, in our society, it is almost unavoidable. The residents of Bama experience little to no stress. The pace is slow, life is straightforward – they rarely leave their village – and they live off what agriculture and fishing provide.
Clean Air and Water
The water in the district has a pH level above 7, which makes the blood more alkaline, and the soil contains magnesium. Furthermore, the air is clean. Residents even cite the clean air as one of the most important factors for a long and healthy life.
Adequate Sleep
The inhabitants get sufficient sleep. Sleep allows your body to recover, and its importance is therefore self-evident!
